{i} uzay gemisi

Uluslararası Sun-Earth Explorer 3 uzay gemisi kuyruklu yıldız Giacobini-Zinner'in kuyruğu boyunca uçarken 11 Eylül 1985'te ilk doğrudan kuyruklu yıldız ölçümleri yaptı. - The International Sun-Earth Explorer 3 (ISEE-3) spacecraft made the first ever direct cometary measurements on September 11, 1985 as it flew through the tail of Comet Giacobini-Zinner.

Bir uzay gemisinden bakıldığında dünya mavi görünür. - Seen from a spacecraft, the earth looks blue.

{i} uzay aracı

New Horizons uzay aracı 2006 yılında fırlatıldı ve 2015 yılında Plüton'a varacak. O çok uzak cüce gezegeni ziyaret eden ilk uzay aracı olacak. - The New Horizons spacecraft was launched in 2006, and will arrive at Pluto in 2015. It will be the first spacecraft to visit that very distant dwarf planet.

Bir Sovyet uzay aracı 1967 yılında Venüs atmosferine ulaştı, ama yaklaştığında gezegenimizle iletişimi kayboldu. - A Soviet spacecraft reached Venus' atmosphere in 1967, but lost communication with our planet just when it came close.

A vehicle that travels through space
a space vehicle that is designed to travel in the vacuum like vastness of space
A man-made vehicle which is intended to go beyond the major portion of the Earth's atmosphere   [NTIA] [RR]
Devices, either manned or unmanned, which are designed to be placed into an orbit about the earth or into a trajectory to another celestial body Also known as a space ship; space vehicle
A man-made satellite in orbit around a planet, or a man-made vehicle which is on a trajectory in or out of the solar system NPAS uses the term to include all vehicles or equipment which use the space or ground networks for TT&C support Examples: Sounding rockets, test with ground based equipment, or balloons would be modeled as "spacecraft" See also "Mission"
- a ship that is not capable of Trans-C travel
a craft capable of traveling in outer space; technically, a satellite around the sun
A spacecraft is a rocket or other vehicle that can travel in space. Vehicle designed to operate, with or without a crew, in a controlled flight pattern above Earth's lower atmosphere. Since streamlining is not needed in the high vacuum of this environment, a spacecraft's shape is designed according to its mission (see space exploration). Most spacecraft are not self-propelled; they are accelerated to the necessary high velocity by staged rockets, which are jettisoned when their fuel is used up. A major exception, the space shuttle orbiter, uses three onboard liquid-fuel main engines supplied by a disposable external tank and a pair of solid-fuel boosters to reach space. The spacecraft goes into an orbit around Earth or, if given enough velocity, it continues toward another destination in space. The craft may have its own small rocket engines for orienting and maneuvering. For internal power, Earth-orbiting spacecraft use solar cells and storage batteries, fuel cells, or a combination, whereas craft designed for deep-space missions usually carry thermoelectric generators heated by a radioactive element. The enormous complexity of design, particularly of manned spacecraft with their millions of components, requires a high degree of miniaturization and reliability. See also launch vehicle
{i} vehicle made to travel in outer space
