A kind of domestic spirit in German mythology, corresponding to the Scottish brownie and the English Robin Goodfellow
Kobolds are short humanoids with scaly skin, vestigal horns, a longish tail for balance, and a vaguely canine face Despite being considered perhaps as old a race as the dragons, they are unfortunately little more than feral tribes that mimic the civilizations of the larger folk around them Kobolds on the southern fringe of the Empire conquered the sprawling coastal kingdom of the D'Kar gnomes and have been steadily educating themselves from the spoils of war gained there, making them marginally more powerful than their cousins [See also: Feral Races]
