    [ 'fE-v&r-"fyü ] (noun.) 15th century. Through Old French fevrefue, from Latin febrifugia, from febris (“fever”) + fugō (“I drive away”). The latter part of the word was changed to "few" due to unfamiliarity with the element -fuge.
