(Mitoloji) Poseidon (Ποσειδῶν), Yunan Mitolojisi'nde denizler, depremler ve atlar tanrısı. Kronos ile Rheia'nin oğlu. Zeus ile Hades'in kardeşi. Roma mitolojisinde Neptün olarak bilinir. En önemli silahı üç dişli bir yabadır ve bu yabayı yere vurduğunda depremler meydana gelir. Posedon hırs ve gücü temsil eder. Posedon'un hırsı Atlantis'in yok olmasına sebep olmuştur. Bunun nedeni ise dünyanın en mükemmel şehrini inşa etme arzusudur
