Etymologie
[ 'yü-n&k, -nik ] (noun.) 15th century. Borrowed from Latin eunuchus, originally from Ancient Greek εὐνοῦχος (eunoukhos) from εὐνή (eunē, “bed”) + ἔχω (ekhō, “I have, keep”). Originally probably used to refer to a bed chamber attendant.
