(Tıp) Gen çiftinde birbirinden farklı genler taşıyan kişi, heterozigoz gösteren kimse
الإنجليزية - الإنجليزية
A diploid individual that has different alleles at one or more genetic loci
A bacteriophage that has two different copies of its genetic material and so produces two types of offspring
Individual that carries two different alleles
n (Gr heteros, other; zygon, yoke) an organism or cell having two different alleles at corresponding loci on homologous chromosomes
See: heterozygosity
Individual who possesses different alleles at a gene locus on each of a pair of homologous chromosomes
Diploid cell with two different alleles at the same gene locus (e g AB)
A diploid organism with two distinguishable alleles at a particular locus under analysis In this case, the locus is considered to be heterozygous Source : PhRMA Genomics
Having two alleles that are different for a given gene
An individual who has two different alleles at a given locus on a pair of homologous chromosomes
An individual with different alleles of a specified gene
Cell or animal with two different alleles of a specific gene
An organism carrying different alleles at the corresponding sites on homologous chromosomes
An organism with different alleles on homologous chromosomes
{i} hybrid which contains a dissimilar pair of genes for any hereditary characteristic (Biology)
An individual that is heterozygous
homozygote and heterozygote
Two genetic possibilities for a fertilized egg. If the two sex cells (gametes) that fuse during fertilization carry the same form of a gene for a specific trait, the organism is said to be a homozygote for that trait. If the gametes carry differing forms of the gene, the result is a heterozygote. Because genes may be either dominant or recessive (see dominance and recessiveness), the genetic composition (genotype) of an organism cannot always be determined by the organism's physical appearance (phenotype)
